Europe Trip 2016
Sharing a post of our recent trip to the beautiful country of Spain and touring Europe a bit.
We first went on a mission trip in Spain with a few other couples. Once the trip was over, we took some time traveling. What an experience.
SEGOVIA, SPAIN
I have this thing for pretty doors and windows.
ROME, ITALY
Absolutely breathtaking. Just don’t go during the summer months. It is HOT!

VENICE, ITALY
This was one of our favorite stops. It was in France, just outside of Italy on our drive to Switzerland. So beautiful, if you are traveling and looking for a place to stay, it’s lovely. In the middle of the mountains. We booked all of our hotels with Hotels.com. They are very true to their ratings. Best of all, if you create an account with them, after you’ve stayed with them 10 nights, you get a free night.

I would like to comment about the prostitutes you saw. For the vast majority of them, it’s not a choice. They are trafficked and enslaved. They are lured from Eastern Europe (mostly Albania, Ukraine or Moldova) and Nigeria with the false promise of a job. Then they learn that they must repay the money for travelling (at a vastly inflated price) by selling themselves on the street. Often the pimps are supervising them, just to make sure that they don’t escape. They are very violent and you did the right thing by not approaching them. If you wish to help, you can donate money to (Christian) organisation who work specifically with these people and they get police assistance if necessary.
