Home office-

This has been a space I’ve been so looking forward to completing, it’s been such a fun project.

Here is the BEFORE of this space (when we moved in). I think it is safe to save HUGE progress was made, ha!

We changed the carpets to floors before we moved in and the walls were painted.

Here is the progress shot! We closed off the wall then made a template of what we wanted with painting tape, ha. This is a great way to save redoing something if you aren’t sure how it will look.

We adjusted a few things then got started once we had a visual put together.

  1. Cabinets were installed first. We used these adorable knobs for the top cabinets and these are the longer ones. Both very affordable.
  2. Then, he installed the shiplap on the featured wall. For the shiplap we just used mdf boards as that is the least expensive route they were 4-inches.
  3. We stained the shelves and then installed them.
  4. Lastly, we added shiplap to the ceiling and then made 3 faux beams.
STAIN COLOR: We use the same stain combination for the entire house as we LOVE
how it looks. We did two coats of the Weathered Oak as we need some gray and just
one coat of the Early American.

We will share a more detailed post on how we made the kids’ floating bookshelves in another post.

Decor-

Decorating is always my favorite and he are the links to the items we used.

The chairs were hard to find. I didn’t want something too expensive yet chairs that would add to the space. I found THESE and love them. They are tall, of great quality and I love that they add so much to the room. Here is the rest of the decor used on the shelves:

These are the Papasan Chairs in natural and the Cushions are ivory that we have. Though they don’t look like it in the photo, they are large.

Well, friends, that wraps up another project!
