Our Dinette Remodel

The reveal for our dinette is here! We were trying to incorprate a modern farmhouse with industrial look.

Though it’s not fully done, we have some serious progress.

BEFORE:

This is what the dinette looked like before. The wallpaper border was a nightmare to get rid of, you can see how we were able to remove it in the post here.

AFTER:

The windows will still be changed in the spring.

I’m also playing around with the idea of Roman blinds in there but not sure if I want any kind of window treatments. We don’t have neighbors in the back so I’m not sure I want anything on them. What do you think?

TABLE:

If you don’t know this about me, we are frugal. I don’t like to purchase lavish things and big-name brand items just because of the name. I like to be wise with our money and make sure we are good stewards of what God has entrusted us with. (Some of you might laugh that I even shop at a store like that but no shame here. If you can find a good deal, why not. :)..)

The table was so inexpensive and I LOVE the way it looks and is built. This is the table we purchased here.

LIGHTS:

We just kept the same design for the light fixture as we have in the kitchen. They are very simple and have a classic look that won’t go out of style in a few years. These are the lights here.

CHAIRS:

I didn’t like the traditional chairs that came with the table. We wanted something that was a little easier to wipe down with the kiddos.

I saw these chairs but they had a really “office-like” look to them and I wasn’t sure I would be able to pull them off in our home. Once we set them up, they just look so beautiful. They are REALLY affordable, very easy to wipe down and so comfortable.

CENTERPIECE:

For the centerpiece, I just currently have a table runner and a few plants in this beautiful set of planters. I’ll eventually add more to the design but we still have so much to do and the focus on decor will come later.

Well, friends, that wraps up one more room. 🙂 Our cabinets for the laundry will be in this week and this is the remodel I have been looking for MOST. I cannot wait to get started with that.

Fondly,

Timur & Valentina
